privacy and cookies
This policy covers kwoliblack.com, the shop at kwoliblack.com/shop and the beautiful game at kwoliblack.com/game. It explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. If anything is unclear, email infokwoliblack@gmail.com.
who we are
The site is run by Kwoli Black ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact: infokwoliblack@gmail.com.
what we collect

We never sell your information. We do not ask for anything we do not need.
who else is involved
- Our mailing list service stores sign-ups and sends emails and texts on our behalf, under a contract that only lets it use your details for that.
- Our web host (Hostinger) runs the servers the site lives on.
- Feature.fm runs the No Fans pre-save. When you pre-save, Feature.fm and the streaming service you choose (Spotify, Apple Music and so on) handle that under their own privacy policies.
- Spotify runs the music player in the music section, and only loads after you press Accept or Load player.
- YouTube plays the videos. The player only loads when you press play, and uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
- Analytics, if switched on, is provided by Plausible or Google Analytics and only runs after you press Accept.
- Shopify runs the shop at kwoliblack.com/shop. Products and your bag are loaded from Shopify, and checkout, payment and delivery details are handled on Shopify's secure checkout under Shopify's privacy policy. We receive your order details to fulfil your order (legal basis: contract).
Some of these services may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
how long we keep it
We keep sign-up details until you unsubscribe, or for up to three years after we last hear from you, whichever comes first. Emails to us are kept for as long as we need them to deal with the conversation. Server logs are kept by our host for a short period for security.
cookies and storage
The first time you visit, the site asks before anything non-essential runs. You can change your mind any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the site.

your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how we use it, and take a copy with you. You can withdraw consent at any time, for example with the unsubscribe link in every email, by replying STOP to texts, or by emailing us. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
children
The mailing list is for people aged 16 and over. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we will remove them.
changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Big changes will be flagged on the site.
